When considering a cycling tour through the Weser Uplands, many visitors immediately think of a tour lasting several days on the Weser Cycle Route. The good news is that our region also has plenty to offer for visitors who do not want to cover dozens of kilometres every day and have to find new accommodation every night. These visitors can make the most of a multitude of day trips, most of which are round trips!
A total of 16 routes covering distances of between 15 and 95 kilometres are located throughout the entire Weser Uplands and focus on a wide variety of different topics. How about a cycling trip on which you can explore the world of mining and natural resources or discover myths and legends? Agriculture, handicrafts, traditional ferries and salt production are just some examples of the many other topics that can be explored by visitors on two wheels. Each of these routes enables cyclists to actively experience a new facet of the Weser Uplands while travelling through picturesque hilly landscapes and idyllic river valley and passing both colourful towns full of half-timbered buildings and peaceful villages.
