Bevern is located in the beautiful Weser Valley, in the middle of the Solling-Vogler region and right at the Weser-Radweg. Here you will find one of the most impressive buildings of the Weser Renaissance, Castle Bevern. Built in the early 17th century by Statius von Münchhausen, cultural events, held in the courtyard and its elegant chapel have made Bevern very famous. Between May and October 2012, the chateau's 400-year history was brought to life through a combination of masque and shadow play in a multimedia performance. Other events included the 'Castle at Night' experience. And when you have had your fill of culture, you can explore the trails on the Burgberg and in the Solling, Forest of the Year 2013, or relax at the pool and leisure centre in Bevern. Not far away, in the Solling hills, is the beautiful Weserbergland-Weg, which allows hikers to discover the whole of the region. Bevern has many friendly, welcoming hotels and guesthouses serving regional food.
